Your Guide to Home Hair Dye!

With the DIY culture raising, it is quite clear why more and more people want to learn beauty routines at home. Many procedures, such as waxing, tanning, and pedicure, it is all possible to do in your home, and with more and more high-quality box dyes, hair treatments at home are no exception.

The only problem is if you wish to turn black hair to platinum blonde, then you must use industrial products, but everything else can be done at your home. But be careful, you still must know what are you doing, otherwise you can make a serious mistake. To help you avoid all that, I prepared a list of some useful tips to understand how to dye your hair at home.

Of course, the first thing you should know is to choose the right box of hair dye. Always check the number of harmful chemicals such as alcohol, peroxide, and ammonia, avoid any excessive dryness and breakage. Demi and semi-permanent hair dyes will deposit the color on your hair but it will fail to lift, making your hair much less hard than permanent dyes.

The next thing you should know is to choose a box of hair dye that has the right shade for you. Do not just watch the picture of the model on the box, because it doesn't mean it will look like that on you. Focus on the description of the shade and check those numbers to determine relative darkness.

Do not forget to take safety precautions. Never forget to carefully read the instructions on the box. Some safety procedures must be taken and you should never skip them, especially keep this in mind if you start using a new brand. Some ingredients (especially in dark dyes) can cause strange reactions on your skin, so be careful.

You must always wear gloves to protect your skin and nails. Usually, gloves come with the box, but it is always a good idea to have one extra pair for wash-off. Finally, make sure to dye your hair in a well-ventilated room. You don't want to inhale chemicals that evaporate.

When you dye your hair with dark colors, use a tub of Vaseline. This is good because petroleum-based moisturizers will keep the hair dye from staining your skin.

This is an effective solution and at the same time a cheap one, and you easily remove them by soaking a cotton ball in olive oil and rubbing it over any area you want. It will do miracles for you.
